Any team that forfeits during a match due to absence will not receive any rewards.
The Organization reserves the right not to distribute rewards to “ghost players” who are registered in a team but do not actually participate in the tournament.
The complete rules are available here (French, Spanish, Portuguese). The main points are summarized on this page.
The tournament is played by teams of 3, with 1 possible substitute. Matches take place on a tournament server, where players have all the characters and equipment they need to take part.
Multi-accounting is allowed.
The tournament is composed of a round-robin phase and playoffs in Gauntlet format for the 4 best teams, the schedule is available in the tab Calendar.
If a team's logo or name is deemed inappropriate for event communications, the Organizer may require the team to change them.
All times are in CET.
We strongly recommend that you join the KTA Discord server so as not to miss out on any information.
Registration is open from 07/11/25 at 2:00 pm until 09/11/25 at 11:59 pm.
Registration is done by indicating a character nickname for each team member. This nickname must be taken on the tournament server.
Between the Qualifier and the Championship, the six qualified teams are entitled to change a maximum of one team member:
If a teammate is absent, it is permitted to use a secondary tournament account of a player present (this must be named with a nickname similar to the main account).
The eight teams fight each other in round-robin matches, alternating between A and B in the draft. The order of faceoffs and the assignment of draft letters are random.
Round-robin matches are played on the same day.
At the end of each match, teams can earn Tournament Points (TP) and Additional Points (AP).
A victory earns 3 Tournament Points, and a defeat earns none (each faceoff consists of two matches, so there are 42 Tournament Points to be won in total). Additional Points depend on the number of characters alive at the end of the matches (see complete rules).
The ranking criteria are: Tournament Points > Direct results between teams (regardless of the number of deaths) > Additional Points > Addition of the opponent's tournament points for each draft won against a team.
In case more than 2 teams are tied in Tournament Points, the direct result criterion is calculated by adding the number of victories obtained against all other tied teams.
At the end of the championship, the top-four teams qualify for the final rounds in a "Gauntlet" format:
Faceoffs are played in BO5 (best of five matches) format. The choice of which team is team A and which is team B is made by the teams, with the team with the better ranking having the choice of letter for matches 1, 3, and 5, and the other team having the choice for matches 2 and 4.
The final will be played on Saturday December 06th at Ankama, Roubaix.
Travel expenses are covered up to a maximum of €200 per player, with accommodation provided if necessary.
At least 1 member of each team must be able to attend the event. If a team is unable to attend, it will be disqualified and will not receive any award from the tournament. In this case, the team they beat in the semi-final will be called back for a retake. If this new team is unable to attend, then another team will be called back in the part of the tree of the absent team, with as criterion elimination phase > ranking in rounds.
All matches are played in draft and the preparation time between drafts and matches is 20 minutes and 15 in playoffs. From match 2, the drafts must begin within 5 minutes of the end of the previous match, without any delay possible.
From the start of the 16th turn of each match, the "Golden Kill" rule applies – the first team to have a numerical advantage wins the match. There are no draw.
Each team must be in the voice chat room assigned to it on the KTA Discord server during each of its matches (including draft and preparation phases). It is forbidden to receive assistance from outside the team from the start of a draft until the end of the associated match.
No forfeit will be declared for lateness during the Championship. The first time a team is late will only result in a warning. From the second time a team is late, a penalty corresponding to 5% of the cash prize won by the team will be applied for each time it is found to be late. After a team has been found to be late, another penalty is applied every three minutes until the team is ready. Late arrivals are recorded both at the start of drafts and the start of matches.
A team is considered to be absent and therefore loses by forfeit after being 20 minutes late for a scheduled start, or upon simple declaration by one of its members.
